Best Shopping Advice / Michael Kors

We love Glamour magazine for posting this note, this is the best shopping advice you'll ever hear.
Thanks, Michael Kors!

Leave it to Michael Kors--Project Runway's official king of bon mots--to sum up both dating and shopping in one brilliant nugget of advice

Kate Betts recently chatted with the designer for CBS Watch magazine, where she said, "Fashion is changing so quickly now. What advice would you give to a young woman who is trying to keep up with trends?"
His response was utterly priceless: "She should take the same approach she takes to guys: There’s great fling material, and then there’s great husband material! Apply that to your wardrobe and it means invest in the key pieces you’ll want to spend time with season after season, the pieces that will help define your style. Don’t invest major money in the trendy pieces that will feel old by this time next year. Like dating that guy just for fun--it’s not to say you shouldn’t do it, just don’t sink a lot into it!"
So, neon fun fur vest = 22-year-old actor-slash-bartender (translation: don't spend more than $50 or more than a few sleepovers). Well-tailored classic navy wool peacoat = handsome doctor with the really sweet smile (translation: go ahead, spend half your paycheck...and introduce him to your parents, already!). Is this genius advice for shopping and dating, or what?
